Q. These days, being able to work with other people is more critical than it was before.


A. In this era of rapid social and technological changes, it is often said that the ability to cooperate with others is more important today than ever before. I firmly agree with this argument. The rationale behind this belief is that being able to work with other people allow people to complete complicated tasks with superior outcomes. On top of that, doing so enables workers to save a great deal of time required to finish their jobs.
 
To begin with, people are more likely to produce better quality outcomes when they can successfully work with others. Since the vast majority of today’s tasks require specific knowledge in diverse areas, it has become almost prerequisite for workers to cooperate with each other if they wish to obtain superb outcomes. To cite a personal experience, although I have been working as a an internal auditor for many years. I still cannot read most of contracts that include complicated technical procedures. In order to finish my job, I need helps from someone with a degree in engineering. Fortunately, I have close relations with many of engineers in my firm, so I have been getting many supports from them. Without their helps, I would have never accomplished anything in my job.
 
Moreover, cooperating with other workers is the most effective means to complete many tasks. Compared to the past, most of works in present time demand workers to handle multiple tasks in relatively short period of time. In this respect, If the amount of work is assigned to members of the team, the amount of time required to finish the work can be significantly reduced. This will allow people to take enough breaks which would eventually contribute to improving work efficiency. For instance, according to a recent survey by National Business Association, a firm that is consisted of employees who can cooperate well with other workers showed higher work efficiency than average. This clearly indicates that the importance of team work skills has become far important when compared to the past.
 
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the capability to work with others is more critical than it was before. The truth of this argument becomes clear when we consider that people can expect better quality outcomes, and such an ability is known to be the most effective ways of completing many tasks. As the old saying goes, two heads are better than one. it is certain that the value of team work will continue to grow.

Q. Caring for a pet is the best way for a child to learn responsibility.
 

A. In this era of rapid social and technological changes, it is often said that the best way to teach a child the value of responsibility is through caring for a pet. After some reflection, I have come to agree with the argument. The rationale behind this belief is that caring for a pet is a very demanding task. On top of that. children are able to have indirect experience of parental role.
 
To begin with, taking care of a pet requires a lot of times and efforts from a child. A child has to feed a pet and takes him for a walk everyday. If he fails to complete those daily routines, a pet would no longer follow him. So, a child would learn that neglecting one’s duty would result in a very frustrated consequence. To cite a personal example, I had a puppy named Panda when I was really young. Since I was the eldest child, I was given a job to take him for a walk at least once a day. However, I was a very lazy boy, so I often forgot to take him for a walk. Soon after, Panda did not respond to my call, and even avoided me. At that time, I realized that I should had been more responsible for my job which was taking him for a walk.
 
On top of that, a child can be taught the value of responsibility by having indirect experience of parental role when they take care of a pet. This is because a child is almost like parents for a pet. In other words, a pet cannot do anything without the help of a child. This is the same relation that a child has with his parents. So, a child would know that it is such a challenging job to take care of someone, learning that he should be responsible for his behavior. According to a recent research by National Education Center, children who have experience of taking care of pets tend to have better understanding of the importance of responsibility. Those children were also able to share the burden and difficulties that their parents have. This clearly indicates that caring for a pet is the most effective means for a child to learn responsibility.
 
In conclusion, I strongly believe that caring for a pet can impart the value of responsibility to a child. The truth of this argument becomes clear when we consider that caring for a pet is a very laborious job, and a child is able to acquire indirect experience of becoming parents for a pet.
